Lost a bit of interest this season

I find most football games boring now to be honest, not just our own. Not so long ago i would watch every single game i possibly could. Now i watch nothing but City and the odd "big" game between our rivals. And they don't particularly excite me most of the time. I renewed my season ticket but i'm a little unsure whether that was the right decision. I sit in level 2 of the East Stand. It's a lot of money, but i don't think i get enough enjoyment from it any more to justify the expense. It's so flat now. Just boring really. I don't get a buzz when i'm walking to the ground any more either. It really pisses me off because i used to look forward to it so much and i feel like football is being taken away from me against my wishes. I WANT to be excited about football again, but i'm just not. I don't know why this has happened to me, but it's just how i feel. I don't think it's to do with City, just football in general.

There are dome dummies being spat out in this thread, I highly doubt that this thread would have appeared if we had got off to a flyer, in fact I know it would not have.

There was a thread just like this on Rag Cafe the season we beat them to the title

I see where you are coming from with that but to be fair, its a general apathy towards football, other than City that the majority of us are claiming mate.

Years ago i would watch any match going, all day, every day yet i find myself now not giving a shit about any other match apart from ours and will often watch anything other than a game on the box such is the disinterest.

i just watch on tv these days like a proper armchair,i'll do a few games and some euro trips but prefer taking my lad to watch Bury.Only 4 games into the season and i'm bored of it all its not the same anymore for me

So what you are saying you are now a Bury fan, who has City as his second team

Good Lord what have we become

There are factors in people's disillusionment that are probably related to how we're playing. But there are some that reflect a genuine problem that people have with the game in general.

I posted in a thread the other day- its not just city. Newcastle crowds well down as are stokes and a few others I can't remember.

I am sure a lot of it relates to the economic situation and modern day football. If city was 10 pound and pay in the day with a great atmosphere (our stadium is not conducive to avoid atmosphere) I am sure a lot more would feel like going.

I have been fanatical for years and spent thousands and would love to have my passion for it back but family very much comes first these days.

no what i am saying is i prefer to take my lad down the road (living only 2 miles from gigg lane) and paying less than £20 over taking him to City where it cost me nearly £80 plus parking, petrol etc,Bury's my 2nd team and my lads and now and again i treat him and take him to watch City like the other week against Newcastle, got quite a few reasons for not going as much one of them involves that dick Peter Fletcher but thats a long story,i don't know where i said i was now a Bury fan

I'm a very disappointed in how it's going so far highlighted by the lack of drive and determination from some of our players. I can't help think that vinnys injury had a huge impact on everyone involved including us fans. It's like a massive kick in the stomach to realise that we can't manage without our leader. I'm sure well be back on track when our defense is at full strength.
