I used to think Michael was a sound lad but in light of his refund debacles during Covid he's gone down in my estimation and to be honest wouldnt have the confidence to hand over our money. Outside pandemic I would use them if the fare was low, but when you factor in all their added extras other airlines like Easyjet can offer better value. Speaking of Easyjet it's such a great shame they binned their free 10k carry on luggage policy as this made for an excellent cost advantage for shorter trips.
As an adendum Ryanair are using the 737 Max but currently only have three operational from London. Yes they have been designated safe to fly but if I was afforded the choice I would prefer not to do so until it's earned it's wings. TUI have also started using them flying out of Manchester Birmingham and London this summer but are happy to disclose the type of aircraft you fly on through your the my booking section. TUI have pledged that any passenger not happy about flying on the 737-MAX would be given the option to change bookings. They have assured their customers that if they don’t want to fly on the MAX when their holiday approaches, they won’t have to and can change their bookings or discuss their options further.
A mention in dispatches to Jet2 who are currently offering some fantastic deals in Europe and if you register with them you can get regualar coupons for 15% off return flights.
The Max aircraft type are easily recognised by their tiger teeth cowlings.
