Lowest away following.

Couple that stick out

Newcastle away 86 ish. Lost 3-1. Had 2 pens in the open end and was plenty of room.

Chelsea away on a Monday night early/mid 90s, freezing and we had fuck all there.

Anfield 81, about a week after losing the FA Cup final replay. Very few of us there that night and we lost 1-0.
We went in their main stand rather than act like dartboards.
I was at that one too. Me & my mates got tickets in the Kemlyn Road Stand for the same reason. As I recall there were plenty of empty dipper seats around us as well. A real nothing game. In those days it was usually easy to get seat tickets from the home club and pick up on the day of the game. It was often better than being herded about like cattle to and from the away section.

Timisoara away, Europa league, August 2010. Probably about 100 of us there. Think it was arranged very late as we qualified through fair play. There were no official trips. Won 1-0, Mario scoring on his debut?
Correct - it was indeed Mario's debut, August 19th 2010, and he did get the only goal ofthe game.

Well remembered.

I thought we had a poor turn out in Dublin 2011 with Inter Milan,AirticityXl and Celtic for the Dublin Super cup.Considering the games were over the weekend we probably got a few hundred at best. From getting on the plane at Manchester me and the lad just ended being surrounded by Celtic fans throughout but maybe it was the size of the stadium and we only saw our fans together in the bottom corner when we won it against Milan.

Right, here’s one that has to be the winner!

Two of us (yes, just two: yours truly and Andy Shaw, originally from Wythenshawe) travelled all the way to Warsaw for Kaz Deyna’s testimonial. September 1979. There were no other blues there.

I’ve promised Doctor Gary James a full account of an epic trip.

City lost 2-1, with Deyna playing one half for each team.

Hard to tell from some of the more distant games as segregation didn't always happen but personally in modern times probably Aalborg think we had 400 tickets in total for the game.

It was easier to go in the old days, but strangely it was also easier to not go
I remember Newcastle bringing more than 10,000 to Maine Road for a Second Division game in 83-84, but less than 3,000 for a First Division game, just a few seasons later.
City were no different, particularly during the mid 80s, often taking 10,000 to Leeds Road, but less than 1,000 to Craven Cottage or Ayresome Park.
I recall a 2-1 defeat at Boro when City scored first (Kinsey), not dissimilar to the FA Cup defeat under Reid in 92.
The match attendance was only 7,000 and I would guess only around 600 City max
