Lowest away following.

City broke my heart that night. Went to a high flying Newcastle in the previous round and won 0-2. My old man promised me we’d beat Palace and were on our way to Wembley so went to the game so excited.
Got stuffed 4-0
I walked back to the tube station before the final whistle kicking bins over in anger. Got home and had a massive row with a female flat mate who said “it’s only a game”.

Horrible night. There were thousands of City though. No idea why it’s in this thread.

If memory serves me correct that was the game the following season we won 1-0. It was probably Evertons first away game and they brought thousands almost filling the Platt Lane end. Probably 5/6k.

Edit: Game in April still a decent following of 3-4k
Not as I remember it, first game after Kendall departure Everton following numbered in dozens. If I'm wrong nust be down to senility.

Very early 60s I travelled to Goodison Park. Walked round the Stadium, you could in them days, except the Main Stand. Couldn't find a single City fan until I spotted one in a sky blue scarf. Went to speak to him and realised he was a Scouser who's mam had probably over washed his scarf. Had to scarper away quick. Never saw or heard a City fan that evening. Couldn't have been the only one there surely.
