I agree with the earlier post that the loyalty points system needs to be reviewed.
Parents can't get tickets to sit with their kids for an away game until the kid qualifies, so the parent has to risk losing out on a ticket to which they are entitled, or dump the kid.
This nearly cost me a Blackburn ticket because I had to wait until long after I qualified for it to go to any s/t holder to get one for my 10 year old girl. She lives and breathes City, has a season ticket, will be going to Blackburn and Portsmouth away (she'll even be the official away mascot at Pompey) but when it comes to getting a ticket for Old Trafford we can forget it because she hasn't been alive long enough to get 4000 points.
The same problem will also apply to young adults who may have only have been old enough to go away for a year or two. They're not competing with older fans on a level playing field. How are we meant to bring through the next generation of home & away fans? It's impossible for them to have built up enough loyalty points for the big games.
I have two ideas to solve this (my preference is for the latter).
A. Allocate a percentage of all away tickets (say 20%) as a family section where loyalty points don't apply, and only being a s/t holder counts.
B. Have a different loyalty points criteria for juniors and young adult s/t holders either based solely on the number of points they have earned during the last 12 months, or as a percentage of the adult points required (say 50%).

If they do loyalty points by distance, do I get extra?
One idea I have is that the loyalty points could possibly decrease in value over time..
eg if I went to Aston Villa in 2003 and got 20 points at the time, maybe 3 years later the value could go down to 10 points then 3 years later go to 0.
Would be a ballache to work out though but it might mean that those going regular to away games at the present might have more chance than those who have stopped going to away games.
