You can thank third party ownership and wage supplements. FIFA needs to end this quickly some players have more third part investment that some multi national corps.

Don't think Utd can afford Lucas unless they sell off some of their players. The Glazers don't like to spend a lot on players unlike our wonderful City owners, thank goodness.
I think Lucas Moura is better thank Neymar.........
His pace is very quick, mix with Tevez speed + robinho dribble,
he also can do long shoot,
shoot by left or right leg..........
I love him, he will be a brazilian future star with No. 10 shirt !!
I hope City must pay more to get him.......

Chelsea £32m bid for Brazilian starlet Moura casts doubt on Hazard move
European champions Chelsea have wasted little time in showing their ambition to dominate the Champions League by making a €40m (£32.3m) bid for Brazilian starlet Lucas Moura.
The 19-year-old Sao Paulo winger, who has a £64.6m release clause in the his contract, is also wanted by Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
But the Blues have stolen a march on their European rivals by making the massive bid.
Sao Paulo rejected the Chelsea offer but president Juvenal Juvencio admits they are close to winning the race for Moura.
He was quoted as saying in the Evening Standard: 'At the moment it is Chelsea that are the closest team to Lucas.
'Inter have presented an offer but that was not considered satisfactory to us. Real Madrid are another one of the teams and there have been contacts with [president] Florentino Perez who admires the player very much.
'I do not know what it will take [for Moura to leave]. There are many factors. He is happy here and he will only go if there is an important proposal.'
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has targetted another four European titles after Saturday's Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich and drawn up a summer hitlist featuring the likes of £50m-rated Radamel Falcao and Brazilian striker Hulk.
But the Moura bid casts doubt on their interest in Lille's £35m-rated Eden Hazard, who is also a target for both Manchester clubs, as the Blues will not want to sign both players.
Hazard had opened the door on a move to Stamford Bridge by admitting that Chelsea's Champions League victory has made a difference to his plans.
The Lille playmaker is heading for the Barclays Premier League and says he wants his future decided by Saturday week, when he will play for Belgium against England at Wembley.

Mancio said:lucas potentially is a lot better than hazard , but i think mancini is a bit worried with the usual brazilian players inconsistance and behavior
rightly so, I would never buy brazilian directly from their league unless it's very cheap. You never know what you're gonna get with them.

I can't believe Sau Paolo reject £32m for him, he may be hyped up to the max in Brazil but that means nothing until he is proven in Europe.
Recent history shows you the Brazillian league is dying to become as big as the European leagues and by demanding huge fees for their so called super talents to achieve the status they all crave.
This kid looks a real talent but if he goes for around £40m then Neymar is going to fetch £60 - silly money indeed.
I have seen them both play, Lucas is more of a winger/ attacking midfielder wheras Neymar is like Hazard, a sort of a winger/ striker, For me Neymar is the better talent and looks like he could one day be a Ballon D'or winner. Brazillian very rarely work in the Premier League anyway - Argentines - yes.
