Would be like another Philips & Nunes kind of signing. Would David Silva, Ozil or Bernie be playing at West Ham, Everton or Southampton at age of 26?

Kalvin starred at the Euros, so no one could envisage how far off the pace he'd be at City.

Looking back at it, it's pretty obvious City realised his acquisition was a mistake from early on, hence why we wanted to move him on after 12 months.

I can be more understanding of signing players from abroad and it not working, but it should be much clearer whether players who have been playing in the League will be compatible.

It does matter if you need quality recruits & you're up to your foreign quota. Going British or using the academy are our only recruitment options, unless we lose a foreign player & replace them with one.

We generally do well with our recruitment. I suppose Philips has shown even the best in the business can make mistakes.

the nationally trained quota, you are allowed 4, we had 5 even before we signed Phillips. Any DM coming in was going in the Non-HG pot regardless of nationality.
