Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

I wonder if he'll bring others down with him?

If he grasses on them and is sent back home...

Both the same in my eyes as they had inside Info on where trippier was going so it was an 100 percent win .

Both very wrong things to do in my eyes but Paqueta is much worse if these allegations are true he has participated in match fixing, he has gone out of his way to alter what would've normally happened, doing what he did could've easily resulted in an accidental red card too if it hasn't in the past.

It might seem petty or nowt serious to you but it could easily lead to worse examples in the future, he could be a compromised player down the road. None of the other players although addicted to gambling or letting friend know of a transfer, even though they've done wrong it's nothing similar to the accusations thrown in Paqueta lap his are far more serious.

Not only that but that 94th minute strange and needless handball booking he received last weekend may point to a lot more, speculation there but he could genuinely have racked up multiple bookings in his career or other stuff it's unlikely the March accusation is a first offence, if he's guilty I'm sure the bookmakers would have betting receipt logs over the years, ones that could unearthed and traced to him we'll have to wait and see but the first accusations could be just the tip of iceberg.

Quite a few lines of work have confidentiality expectations, with or without the gambling industry. While I could actually agree with that, it becones one of those where do you draw the line. Telling mates about a transfer, holding up a transfer to get it on a specific date so someone can benefit from it? Getting yourself carded in a game, costing your team points, costing another team etc.
I am fully aware of that Coaty and if he signs anything pre-contact re confidentiality then you don’t go telling anyone.
However if you tell your mates you are going somewhere and you are not contravening any confidentiality clause with either buying or selling club then the bookies are fair game.
Having said that all that it’s a moot point if it’s inserted in every contract. That’s to protect all parties not the bookies.
In match play is a totally different animal.

What would you propose in this instance.
This was for yellow cards received.

Only real solution is to ban betting on corners, bookings, offsides etc.
In this instance fucking ban him because this is clearly completely different to telling your mate you’re signing for another club!

Glad we have walked away from this deal on those terms, double money plan by West ham on a player that hasn't shown they are worth anything like that money, I thought 75 was steep but 85 And palmer would have been mental
Think west ham trying to pull a liverpool similar to coutinho going to Barcelona for stupid $$$
That's about 135 million if you think about it.
Not having it. Glad this farce is over.
