I will accept a charge as a Maddison stan, though my excitement stems from the prospect of him being in our team more than anything else, (something along the lines of If he can produce for a clearly inferior team, how much more the Treble winners?!). Anyways, I do believe that whoever we choose will be a successful signing because we’re the best run club in the world atm, although not infallible !
The quiet window doesn’t bother me as I know we do most of our best work in silence anyway, and I do trust us to get quality in.

I'm guessing FA or West Ham told us themselves during our due diligence. I would assume its standard protocol in the late stage of a transfer deal to ask several authorities and the other parties involved if there is any ongoing investigations or records about the player we are about to sign we should know about before we make a multimillion investment. If its later revealed they knowingly withheld information we would most likely file a lawsuit
