This is sad name calling on the pitch should be sorted on the pitch if I was Evra I would have gone through Suarez and taken a yellow.For me it show's he is soft or part of a team that would'nt or could'nt help him sort it.It is not right if he was racially abused but sort it out yourself if you were.Football is'nt like a normal job if you have an axe to grind with another player you can do something about it.Again it's not right but he is obviously a player other's think they can take a liberty with.

the latest stage in what appears to be a concerted effort to unsettle a top class foreign player....Ferguson and his arselickers in the media and at the FA are responsible for this development - any other player for any other club and it wouldnt have made it out of the changing room.......Man U and the media arent going to let this lie or leave Suarez alone irrespective of the result of the court hearing.......the lad could walk into any side in the world....and come summer - if the campaign against him continues at the pace its been during the last few months - he may just do that...

So, he might have called Evra 'black', but is that racist? If he's done it in Spanish, does it make that worse?

I'd love to say I'm shocked, but I'm not any more.

I often wonder if this and the Terry case has been drawn out for the benefit of the media. Is the charge to pan it out as much as possible? Keep the media sweet with stories to sell?

Or is it the next effort to destabilise Liverpool Football Club. Tried it with the refs? Trying with certain players? Who knows!?

The whole thing happened in front of me. Suarez did not look like he was provoking Evra in any way and was trying to get on with the game, Evra lashed out at Suarez after he put his hand on his head in a friendly manner. The ref brought Evra away who then turned to the Main Stand and kissed his badge. He didn't exactly look like someone who'd been attacked racially ten times.

so lets get this straight

you cant call someone "negro" or "negrito"

but you can sing and call people "murderers" and all the other foul and abusive names you like

Dear Lord, that RAWK thread is absolutely embarrassing. Regardless of whether Suarez is guilty or not, some of the replies on there are jaw-droppingly awful. I understand supporting one of your own players, but barely a single poster even considers he might be guilty. Some of the posts on there are staggering in their Cro-Magnonism.

The Rawk thread is more or less saying it's ok to call someone a Negro or Negrito as its a term of endearment, it means mate or pal. wtf ?

Why don't they test it out and wander around Toxteth saying "Hello Negro" to every black person they see?

One of them even thinks the racism that Liverpool people suffer because of the grief their club gets as worse than anything that Suarez said.

It's astonishing that some are defending him. The simple fact is that if he has racially abused Evra then he deserves to be punished. I've no problem with fans defending their players in general but this kind of offence is indefensible.

I read that Daniel Taylor article about how Suarez allegedly said 'negrito' to Evra, a friendly term in Paraguay. Although, i still wonder if he has ever said to non black players?

It means "little black man" and whether friendly over there or not, the FA have every right to charge him and ban him.

Any idea on the potential punishment?
