Luis Suarez

Don't worry about Aguero, will be going nowhere although I really wouldn't blame him if he wanted to because he belongs in the final stages of the Champions League. Perez and Mansour's business association/friendship will ensure no hostile attempts to take City players - probably one of the reasons we've remained untouched by Real Madrid, the only club in the world which may have the clout to take away our stars. You simply don't mess with Mansour. And Aguero has made it clear he has no intention of going (and pledged most of his life to City by saying he'd never leave before we won the Champions League), he probably likes being The Man rather than Ronaldo's Sideman. And he is maybe the only Argentinian besides Zabaleta who likes the Mancunian weather. :)

Imagine Silva behind a front two of Aguero and Suarez.

That would be unbelievable, but this transfer is a non-starter.

I imagine Aguero will demand a move back to Spain sooner rather than later; he hasn't bothered to learn English beyond minimal conversation, and we don't look destined to succeed in Europe any time soon.

If this is the case, then I'd rather bring in the best player in England last season as part of the deal as his replacement than give Txiki the fee to reinvest in more Negredos and Soldados.
We've never signed a Soldado and Negredo was a great buy.

Negredo was not a great buy, if he was he wouldn't have been offloaded after one season, in the second half of which he did nothing. He scored 9 league goals last season, so did Danny Welbeck; difference was Negredo played 400 PL minutes more, as a centre forward in a team that was scoring a shed load at the time, while Welbeck generally played wide in Moyes' dodgy United team.

The Soldado reference was based on the kind of player he'd buy, some one-dimensional bum who scores a lot of goals in Spain; a league where defenders take mid-second half siestas, and Ronaldo and Messi have been able to chalk up superhuman goal tallies.

Negredo scored 23 goals in all comps last season(before the end of January too), how many did Welbeck get?

Some of Negredos best games for us he didnt score in (derby comes to mind). Football isnt played on a stats sheet.

I don't get the link at all. Striker is just about the last position we should be looking to spend huge money.

yep but with manuel in charge that is going to be the most important position (only half joking)

The beast was rushed back from a very nasty injury, but shit a brick, he would be second only to Sergio and is one of the finest centre forwards I have seen pull on a city shirt, the perfect foil and badly, badly missed,

There is no chance Suarez will want to return to the Premier League.

Don't know about 'unbelievable', it'd certainly be unpalatable.

Sorry, I don't hold with cheating racists. Lifestyle choice I suppose. That and actually having a moral compass.
