Luton Town (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

After the assault on Foden by Brown, the play was stopped for a foul on Bernardo by.............Brown.
Who had also assaulted Walker before our goal. The ref didn't allow advantage, he simply failed to give a foul. Whilst it worked in our favour, it wasn't because the whistling wanker got it right. Terrible ref.

I thought it was strange watching on the telly, the VAR replays started showing the foul close up and in slow mo which proved it was a red, then changed the angle and distance so it wasn’t so clear. Very odd.
They played the clip on loop trying to confuse viewers and convince from an angle that showed it was not a bad foul.
Fuck this holistic bullshit and for once i want the club to question var decision and go fucking medieval on them.

Just watching the match again, giddy scouse cow at half time to ex scouse thicko redknapp.
"So Jamie Luton deservedly in the lead at half time"
WHAT!!??
That had me ranting not at her but at Redknapp. She had asked a question the way I heard it, as in "Luton are leading, deservedly so?" Redknapp responded with "Absolutely!"
Had he even watched it?

I'm looking forward to Everton away after seeing that

Pleased with the resolve the team showed in the second half. Really difficult fixture, and we came through it.

Another uphill battle against 12 men on the pitch and another 4 off the field, and Pep was absolutely right in having a go at the officiating team as he walked off for HT. 2 BLATANTLY wrong calls in the lead up to their goal - A goal kick which should have been a corner and a nonsensical foul throw call. Those are the kind of things that get in the players heads and absolutely effect the game.

Pep worked his magic in the dressing room and the players stepped up and turned it around despite the best efforts of the referee.

The foul on Foden should have 100% been a red card, but I suspect VAR applied their secret objective in keeping the game competitive by not sending their player off. The media are obviously complicit because neither Sly or the BBC dwelled on it for any length of time, if they even mentioned it at all.

One final point on the Match Day Thread - There were some absolute MUFFINY BARMY comments on how 'shite' certain players are, or how 'Pep is done'. If any of those posters has ever watched us under Pearce they've clearly forgotten it (I wish I could), because THAT was shite football. We're slowly morphing into the Rag's as a fan base, becoming a bunch of entitle mard arses.

Didn't see any of the goals go in due to the view but a vital 3 points. Pity that Rodri is so important defensively as he has everything required to play in a more attacking role or even just behind a striker - balance, skill, power, shooting and heading. Sincerely hope Foden continues to play more centrally and Ake plays as much as possible. Come on City !!
I think Rodri can become a world-class box-to-box attacking midfielder like Ya Ya if we can find a great defensive midfielder to slot in behind him. I wonder if Pep has something up his sleeve for January.

Rodders is incredible and he’s got a killer edge of the box thundercunt shot on him as Yaya did, but he’s not quick enough to be sprinting box fo box.

Agree about his pace but he would score loads of goals if he played further forward. It makes me think we really should have gone for Rice and played him in a deep role (which he says is his best position) behind Rodri. In Haaland's absence Rodri may well push forward anyway. If we still had someone like Nigel De Jong or Gareth Barry it would work a treat.
