This will be the team, I reckon.
No one can ever second guess Pep, plenty on here picking Nunes and Kovacic in midfield, I very much doubt that will happen. At this time of the season the players only turn up for light training and I’d guess they won’t be back until Friday. Pep knows the importance of Saturday, he’ll rotate as usual but it’ll be a strong team.

Surley best way to is go easy in training for rest of week, go strong with team for first 45 mins and get it won, then take players off.

Wonder if we might rest Rodri for this one. He’s looking jaded.

Ederson may well return for some match practise too.
Rodri should be given the day off period!
He is way overworked if he was an animal we would be reported to the authorities for abuse.
Surely the management have to take a risk and not select him as it is clear to everybody at this stage that performance is starting to be effected.

fixture
We’ve won just 2 of the 8 league games we’ve played this season directly after a CL match. So it’s nice for a change that the fixtures have been relatively kind. Still need to get it done though.

So true , the fixtures after each CL game were Forest (H) won ,
Arsenal (A) lost, Rags (H) Won,
Chelsea (A) Drew, Spurs (H) Drew, Palace (H) Chelsea (H) Drew, Liverpool (A) Drew, you dont think the PL deliberately chose all but two against the 'top' sides ??? mmmm

Put like that one would be very suspicious. It should be remembered however that most of the CL games this season before last night were not the most challenging of games. It is a bit of a stretch to suggest they had any meaningful impact on the following weekend.

Ederson
Rico
Dias
Stones
Akanji
Kovacic
KDB/Nunes
Bernardo
Doku
Alvarez
Bobb

Rotate for Wednesday, plenty of strength on the bench and that team still has enough to comfortably beat Luton at home where we are going to have 80% possession

Rodri has given the ball away or been caught in possession more times in last 2 games than rest of season put together.

He seems mentally exhausted - and needs a break.

If we can't find a way of resting him vs Luton - it shows our recruitment strategy has been awful
