Thats the most defensive team Ive ever seen Pep play. He is clearly looking at ball retention, no mistakes and relying on the KDB Sterling and Jesus to get us something.

Glad Cancello got the nod - he has earnt it and while he is not at his best on the left he defends slightly better than Mendy

I honestly can’t believe. We had troubles so many times and it is hard to believe in Pep as he failed in last 3 knockout stages because of his experiments. Put Mahrez, Bernardo...

Lyon have tons of legs and pace and energy in midfield.

I thought Pep might drop Rodri or Gundogan for Bernardo to counter that and have Foden in.

But instead he seems to have picked the 2 not very mobile centre mids and brought in a 35 year old.

Scratching my head a bit but we'll see how it goes...
