We shouldn’t take away the performance from Lyon, yes we were poor, but they exploited it.
Hopefully this will be the wake up call for the squad.

I agree, I don't think Gundogan fits into our style of play very well. He's just too slow and too scared to tackle (understandable after his long knee injury).

I rate them both individually, but am not convinced about them as a pairing. Perhaps against the cannon fodder, when they’re unlikely to be charged with much defending. But I think they’re a bit soft to play together against any proper side at the moment - mentally, perhaps, rather than physically.
