He didn't have a stinker at all, played quite well what I saw of it, had a strop because he failed to get to a very difficult ball, which could arguably have been a foul, but his strop was at himself not an official for not giving the decision. His booking was effectively for trying too hard to get a 30/70 ball, he was a fraction late and it was a foul. I didnt think he had a stinker. Just typical mixed bag from Mario. He linked up play well early on, showed some good touches. The mistake on goal was poor but not as horrific as some are claiming. The booking was harsh but he did become over theatrical with the fist punching. Not surprising that he was the one that was subbed when Di Natale came on since he'd been booked.
Having lived here for 20 years and knowing the language, culture and history of the place I can tell you they will deny ANYTHING that puts them in a a bad light. Tonto and ooo...oooh ...oooh do not sound the same. They think they are the most wonderful human beings that existed.
