Nope I read all, always. You said it' shitty what they suffered but you also said they need to be punished.

After losing a child?

Now you answer mine - Sophie Hook murder - Do those parents deserve to be punished? They let her sleep in the tent in the garden. Like you said "never take chances". So are they stupid??

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I bet they’ve wished a billion times they could take it back and do it Differently. I’ve always defended them against the trolls making things up and accusing them of vile things. I hope they finally find out what happened and who was responsible now.

Also I never cared how much was spent looking for her, every missing child deserves the same level of investigation and I’d never give up searching. Those opposing it are also disgusting

I think any parent who leaves their young child alone needs to be held accountable. Just like those who leave kids in Hot cars , or outside the pub. I’m sure they regret it and have never done it since and I feel so sorry for them. I’ve lost a daughter myself I’ve felt that despair and heartbreak so I know I’d never once take it for granted and couldn’t feel that pain again
 
Let's have it right, if the police started investigating every parent who left their kids alone for various periods of time, the courts and prisons would collapse.

That's not to condone what they did because I do think it was bad parenting but I'm amazed that so few seem to have sympathy with them given the pain they must be going through although then again, that's probably related to those who thought they killed her despite there being no credible evidence whatsoever of that.
 
I think also the Portuguese police were lazy and corrupt. Didn’t want local tourism being affected so pinned it on the parents to close it quicker. Twats

I don't think people are, the case is just full of inconsistencies combined with the crime scene being completely tampered with and having an incompetent police force trying to solve the disappearance.
 
I remember waking up in Cyprus hotel as a kid with my brother and my mum and dad wasn’t there - they just walked down road to get a coffee. This was in the 90’s and it was very common for Parents to quickly nip out and get something or leave kids in the car whilst they go in the pub or shopping - people make out like the McCanns are the first ever parents to leave their kids alone. the pain they have gone through is unimaginable

People in glass houses. I remember my wife and I getting really pissed and then letting one of our babies sleep in our bed for the night. Not too long ago I took my lads out looking for tadpoles and we ended up on a train track. Suddenly a train came through and we were only a few yards away. I’ve driven home from places with three kids in the back probably over the drink drive limit from the night before. My parents still tell a story about how we stayed in a hotel and were having dinner and the roof kept making a crashing noise. When they went back to bed they found me and my sister (aged 6 and 3) jumping off the bunk bed. Everyone makes mistakes but for most of us it costs us nothing, not the life of one of those children.
