Cheers NF for confirming I was right.

You are usually a decent moral compass for off topic as is johnsonontheleft, but usually for different reasons.

Usually?!!

Ermmm, he is an atheist isn't he.

Always a pleasure,never a chore.
I too use our mutual friend as a barometer if ever I am unsure on which stance to adopt.
The day I agree with him on anything other than religion and City is the day I don a straightjacket and start licking windows.

It's NEVER about cleaning! It's all about the taste.

Do me a frigging favour.

Awful analogy. Oslo and WW2 bear no resemblance other than to back up my point that humans can do things that no one would expect or envisage.
Stop swearing.
Why is it an awful analogy? Even those that survived likened him to looking and acting like a Nazi.

If you are now considering frigging as swearing then please man up a little.

To say he "resembled a nazi" does not equate to the 2 events being anywhere near similar. He had not been desensitised to the humans around him through a decade and a half of propaganda stating that they were sub human and all the rest. If you know anything at all about concentration camps, Nazi's and primarily SS death squads then you would know likening the two is, quite frankly, silly.

The only thing it proves is that people can do things that others would never envisage.

As for public opinion stating they are innocent, the majority of people I know, share the same misgivings as me and I am not sure a conclusive Mori poll has been conducted, so it is impossible for you to make that claim.[/
The only thing that surprised me about the massacre was how many he managed to kill, not the act itself.
It may not appear so on this thread but I am actually someone who can believe people capable of anything. I just don't think the mccanns 'did it.'
As for a poll, I was meaning the fact that society deems them innocent until/unless events prove otherwise.

Ah I see, then in that case, yes, you are correct Mac.

I hope they didn't do it but as I say, there are lots and lots of unanswered questions that lead me to be sceptical about their story.

You really do like that quip, don't you!

It's become your catchphrase!

To the best of my knowledge I've used it once before in 10 months on here. Does that make it a catchphrase?

Good to see you paying such close attention to my posts, however. It's good to know I'm building up such a following.

Nah, you said it about me once, that's why I remember it.

And, yes, that does make it a catchphrase...

So I've used it twice in relation to two different posters. You and johnsonontheleft.

Interesting ;-)

My view on this:

McCann gave poor little girl something to sleep, while him and his wife could go out with their fucking mates and be socialites. It wen't wrong, and instead of being found out, they have buried her somewhere, then milking the country for dosh and sympathy.

I wonder if this new 'sighting' has anything to do with a recent book launch?

Or perhaps he sees you as a bit of a cult?

A cult?

Yeah, something like that... :0)

Remember when the McCann's were trying to get the public, or the undecided public, onside because they were fed up of having the finger pointed at them, but people were asking for them to take a lie detector?

Now Kate McCann refuses to take a lie detector test to clear her name

Kate McCann has refused to take a lie detector test about her daughter Madeleine's disappearance, it was revealed yesterday.

She and husband Gerry had offered to undergo a polygraph examination in September, after they were made official suspects in the investigation.

But it has now emerged that they have refused an expert's offer to carry it out, because the results would not be admissible as evidence to a Portuguese court.

Don Cargill, chairman of the British and European Polygraph Association, said the McCanns told him they would only take the test if it was 100 per cent accurate and admissible in a Portuguese court.

He told the Sunday Express: "Kate said she'd take it to prove her innocence but in reality, she wasn't willing.

Madeleine: Missing since May 3

"I was dumbfounded, to tell the truth.

"I don't think it was the McCanns' fault. I was left with the impression the whole thing was a PR exercise to get sympathy at a time when Kate was under increasing scrutiny."

Lie detectors work by measuring physiological responses such as blood pressure levels, pulse rate, breathing and sweat gland activity in the skin during questioning.

Any significant difference in these rates may indicate the subject is lying.

The process has been criticised but the American Polygraph Association claims the current computerised technology is 98 per cent accurate.

They are not admissible in British or Portuguese courts.

McCann spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: "Of course they are not going to take the test. It's inadmissible in Portugal and there are doubts about the accuracy.

"Gerry and Kate don't need to do one as they are telling the truth

Then why does their spokesperson dismiss it as lacking anything different to previous 'sightings?'
Surely they would be wanting to fuel the story even further if they wanted to strengthen the 'myth.'
