Madrid v City CL semi final 2nd leg

Was always a pipe dream, but what a t... Pellers is, Nacho can't buy a start or a early sub and he expects him to save us? Get rid of this charlatan, roll on Pep.

A disgrace! The fans deserve more, Accrington Stanley would have had more of a go at them. I'm not bothered about wins, but for God sake at leat have a go!

We really missed Silva tonight, he would have created at least one chance for Aguero in behind.

As it was, our two main attacking assets went missing for both legs. We defended really well tonight, but offered zero going forward, proving once again that we either only attack or only defend. We cannot do both, which for an elite level team is incredibly limited.

A friend of mine just said "A Van Gaal style defeat" and frankly it's hard to disagree

Not very good really
Crazy year
Started off red hot
Then can't defend at all
Then midfield absent
Now can't score
Bright side?
2 games left

Gameplan is crucial at this stage. Even if you have it like Bayern yesterday you can miss your chances and pay the price.

But by not having a clear gameplan you just can hope it will go your way and lose obviously.

We could have lost this tie even with having an actual go at their goal with some shots, with testing their keeper at home or at Bernabeu.

But we lost it without any of it.

The manager is responsible for this, gameplan must come from him. Our players lots of the times looks like dont know what to do, how to do it. Worst is Pelle doesnt know it either so we have to rely on individual brilliance, out of nothing kind of things too much given the lack of tactics, gameplan, worked out detailed things...

We can point to this or that player being woeful tonight but...

the truth is Pellegrini lost it for us in the 1st leg with his moronic substitution moving KDB out wide when we looked dangerous through him and were the better side up until that point.

It meant that tonight when they scored early, largely thanks to Pellegrini's insistence that we hold the 18 yard line despite needing to play on the counter, it allowed Real to sit back and completely nullify any chance for us to counter. They didn't need to score another and it showed. Time and again they had lots of men behind the ball, they were the ones all game who actually had counter attacks.

The 1st leg was such a huge wasted opportunity, despite the players and some fans trying to make themselves believe otherwise
