No doubt this is to make way for an incoming transfer but its a shame he could not get a loan at a higher level or similar level but in England.

Oh do bore off with your typical anti-Pep raving for once. Maffeo made his full City debut under Pep and has featured in the squad regularly.
It's better for him now he gets regular football and City get a defender in the January transfer window.
Well that's a bit shit. Instead of giving the kid the experience he needs at the top level, we've loaned him out on the premise that he needs games at an inferior level. Fair enough...but come next season, this kid will still be unadjusted to this league's demands and we'll be the lesser for it.

Had anyone given a shite about the lad he'd have gotten a prem move in Jan. Weren't West Ham looked for loanee full backs? I guarantee there's 8 prem teams would have taken him.
But he's off to a shite team at a shite level.
