Maffeo and Angelino loaned to Girona

How can we decide if these young players are good enough if we don't give them a fair crack of the whip by playing them,no wonder we sometimes get criticism, seems strange as he hasn't looked out of place when called upon..

We've got fullbacks old as dinosaurs and we've just loaned out our young and exciting left and right backs. Seems madness to me

ANGELINO'S GONE THERE TOO. There'd better be a good fucking explanation for this from the management.
Maybe we're getting them comfortable playing in the Girona back four and we're going to sign both their centre halfs to get a fully working unit.

In all honesty I think they're being toughened up to both be second choice full backs next season.

Going on loan for half a season to get regular competitive football where they will be looked after come back next season as regular squad members

Would have been better going to a championship side then the crap they have gone to. It's a stage up from Sunday league

Mods merge into Maffeo thread if needs be, just thought we could seperate the two.

Angelino has joined Girona on loan until the end of the season.

Not just me but don't let that get in your way. Spanish 2nd division is extremely poor and not where these two players need to go to at their stage

Isn't the end game to get them ready for a place in City's team? If so, they've both already done the overseas loans. Sending them out again only serves political agendas and not the development of the players in question.

They are not going to play regularly this season are they. What fucking agenda you banging on about now

What the **** are we doing!!! Fullback positions has been our weakness for a few seasons now and what do we do loan out our two young up and coming in my opinion best options for them positions at the moment!

Spanish football in general is pretty poor outside of the big 3 and Sevilla. Standard in the second league is actually below them if you ask me. West Ham would've been a good option because Cresswell and Masuaku are both pretty poor.

These lads need to be playing football, same with Iheanacho. I think it's really bad for the development of young players to be in a matchday squad and never play. How are they ever going to improve?

Loaning out young players is an absolute must!

I see no issue. Good experience for them as clearly neither is going to get any in the Prem this season, what with both Maffeo and Angelino being 3rd choices for their respective positions
