i'll say this about the iron lady (swoons) wish she was still here, still in charge, still slicing the idle and still saving the country. dave is doing a brilliant job but maggie would be just on another level.

not churchill, not lloyd george, thatcher was the best pm ever. she took no shit off anyone.

He's on the wind up when you look at the positive legacy of change and improvement left by Gladstone, Attlee, George, even Disraeli or Cromwell (either of them if they counts), she is not even in the same league. She did do some necessary reforms, she did make some truly dreadful changes but her real legacy was killing industry , turning Britain into a state based on financial services which cost nearly a trillion dollars to bail out and in other impacts . Did she slow or accelerate Britains decline as a world power - I'm not sure but at the base of it she did nothing to take Britain forwards and her legacy may well destroy the union she claimed to love!

To be honest Ronnie i never get bored of slagging off the fucking horrible woman. Its one of my small pleasures in life :)

And as i dont believe Jesus was nailed to a cross i sadly cant blame her for that but i can blame her for us getting relegated against Luton in 82 because historically City have always done worse under a Tory Govt.

The people of mid Scotland, of South yorkshire, the people of County Durham, the valleys of South wales, the victims of institutionalised child abuse, the families of the 96, the teenage conscripts blown up on a hospital ship sailing away from a battle zone, victims of chemical weapons she sold to the Middle East etc etc. she may not have been the devil incarnate, she may have done some good but she destroyed enough people to never be considered a great national leader. A great leader for southerners maybe, a great leader for nationalists maybe, a great leader for the wealthy maybe, a great leader for abusers maybe. But she was not a great leaders for Brotain !
