Maicon

Reckon he was held back a little after his injury to give him as much time as possible to settle in.

Brave and brilliant from Mancini to trust him up against Bale again after last time. Hopefully that was the last we'll hear of that.

Loved it when he beat Bale in a foot race.

Always been a huge Maicon fan - he will be a big favourite before he's done with City...

Exacty Blue, if we can keep him fit will be a very important player for City this season....

Dangerous crosses from a City fullback? Fuck me, the world must be ending.

Once he came on everything changed with Bale going AWOL and not defending. Suddenly everything was happening down the right side.

Hope this is the end of the Bale talk, he didn't look interested in defending all day. Frequently just stood there and watched as the fullback was overrun.

I love how one good match and everyone changes their opinions about players then 1 bad match and they are useless and need to be sold.

Of our signings in the summer I am sure Maicon and Garcia will both be great. I have been defending Garcia in particular a lot because i know he just hasn't settled in yet, give him a few months and then after christmas judge him.

Well said and very resonable, you clearly don't belong here. Come back once your a raging lunatic and you'll fit right in.

Just a point on Clichy here. Love the guy to bits but I don't think he's comfortable playing as a left sided CB in 3-5-2. When crosses come in he's not the one you want in the air trying to attack it. Doesn't have the height or strength. But i'd prefer him to Kolarov as LWB purely for his pace and work rate.

Form is temporary class is permanent.
I still think he needs to swole up and shred a litle bit of fat to get really sharp and pacey.
Nothing really difficult if you look at the cut Carlos made during this last summer.

Sorry but have you seen the number of interceptions Clichy has cut out with his head ?? Thats the one thing he is very good at ... attacking a ball with his head.
