remember him running on the pitch at Bury when they beat us 2-0 in the league cup...the whole end chanted his name!

Wayne Clarke missed an easier one if memory serves as well. Pointon's maiming of Giggs was funny in hindisight though.

Thought was in the game when Brightwell "wellied" one in. Not 100% though.

No mate, I wasn't there for Brightwell's goal. Couldn't get a ticket and was distraught. The one I'm on about was Giggs- Pointon off - Curley penalty.

Debs was a legend. Met her once in the Clarence. Wasn't there a tale that she was a really good footballer in her youth and if she were a lad she was good enough to get an apprenticeship? Or was that because we were terrified of her?
