Understand that there will be quite a number coming down from within the region and Oceania. Would be great if we could meet up and get to know each other.

We'll be there with a "We're Not Really Here" banner so do join in if you see the bunch with the Brother and First Advice kits.

The stadium I am told is a little out of KL, the main area for pubs/nightlife is Bukit Bintang. I am sure we will find a suitable establishment.

Sounds good. Yeah, we're a group of locals who have been gathering for live matches, since the 90s -- when we were up and down, and cable TV just got in. :-)

Just look for our "KL Original Blues" banner... see you there!

Great! Where are you guys staying? Are you flying in with AirAsia?

The pubs in the main Bukit Bintang road have now turned to massage parlors and the likes, so you might wanna skip that. Where you might want to be headed to is "Changkat" Bukit Bintang which is about 10 minutes walk from the main Bukit Bintang area. This is where all the new pubs are, with some nice local and international eateries. If you are familiar with KL though, you can't miss a mamak stall -- always in sight.

As for the stadium, it's in Bukit Jalil, about 40km from downtown KL. Surrounding the stadium are sport complexes built during the '98 Commonwealth games. So not many eateries and the likes around that area.

Since the game will be on a Monday evening, traffic will be quite bad so I don't recommend taking the cabs. (Not to mention we don't have the best cabs in the world.) That said, you might want to consider taking the train. Below is a map of the route. Take Route 4 (Sri Petaling) and stop at the second last station, Bukit Jalil.

Problem is though, the line closes at 1130pm. Given that the game is at 945pm, I reckon everything will end about 1145pm. There might be cabs at the exit of the stadium, but just keep these cab numbers handy.
