Malcolm Allison RIP - Confirmed

Truly a sad day for all Blues. I can still picture him in Wythenshawe Park putting the team through their paces, I was holding my late Fathers hand and I remember him beaming with joy as Nijinsky powered in front of them all,happy days! RIP big fella.

I never had the pleasure of watching a city team managed by Malcom Allison, however Malcom I'd just like to say thank you for the things you did for Manchester City.

I've dreamt millions of times of city winning a major trophy yet still after 17 years as a city fan its still not come to fruitation so, for you to have won more than one major trophy with style, class and a smile I have the up most respect for you.

R.I.P Big Mal, you helped develop City and Football as a whole into the great team and sport they are today. Thank You.

From a Red. Brilliant manager and a larger than life character. For those who can't remember what he was like think of Mourinho but with a big fat cigar! As a Red I still get nightmares about his boys. Bell, Lee and Summerbee. Book, Corrigan, Doyle. 40 years on and I can still remember them that is how bad it was for me! Football would be nothing without people like Big Mal. RIP fella.

class gesture, respect.

This is the news I have just woken up to. Perhaps the greatest coach of modern times and the architect of the only success's my Team has ever known. Also perhaps the Man who a few years later dismantled a side on the verge of Trophies which untimately began the great downward spiral.

It is the first Malcolm that I think of now as I type away with tears in my eyes.

RIP Malcolm.

The guy helped Joe Mercer to change the history of this club, with his revolutionary coaching methods of the time, and gave the players every opportunity to display their talent at 100% fitness. A Truly likable man who had a vision of City Gloriously shining in Europe. It was a sad day when John Bond and Peter Swales showed Big Mal the door. Today is an even sadder day. RIP Big Mal and thanks for the memories.
