Nike kits look cheap and shit, gutted about this. A generic template for all the teams, just a different colour
Went to a big outlet mall the other day that has been stuck out in the middle of the desert over here. Can't stand Nike gear for anything, but the missus wanted to have a look in their store, so in we went.

What greeted us was a railing of various football shirts from the last 5 years that covered one entire wall of the shop. Without exception, it was all just garish, poorly fitted, badly designed, cheap-looking shite, whether it was Arsenal, united, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Brazil, France or any of the other teams unfortunate enough to be associated with them. None of them had properly embroidered badges either; they were all sewn-on patches or iron-on transfers.

I also noticed that all their training/leisure gear is identical for all their teams, just done in different colours and with different badges ironed on the front. Unless they have an urgent injection of imagination, these wankers are going to have City fans walking around in the very same shite they produce for United fans.

While this deal will undoubtedly secure the club tons of extra income, that's the end of me buying stuff from the club. Which, at 32, is very welcome and long overdue.

ive been to the same outlet mall the sports direct arena shop is even worse they are still selling Liverpool shirts wiht carlsburg on them --_--

I know. And they're not flogging them for a couple of quid either. The prices they were charging for shirts several seasons old was outrageous.

ive been living here for a while now and the prices have always been like that. they don't understand the concept of Discount or outlet store like how i do. like Tim Horton's in the states its cheap and fast. in Dubai since its considered foreign they price it like a premium good. Or centralised air conditioning in theory its supposed to be cheaper but they market it like something exclusive and make u pay x2 more lol.

Can't see why it would bother anyone if 2 clubs from the same City have the same suppliers of kit, it doesn't make any difference to anything.

As for shit kits, remember the Pony ones and even worse than that, these bastards?

Spoke with the Premier League representative from Nike yesterday while I was working at the Villa V Norwich game, and I asked about City's deal and future kits.

He wouldn't give much away, other than City have full control of design and direction of all kits and clothing, Nike have spent a lot of time looking into the history and tradition of City's kits, and he said we will not be disappointed as fans with next seasons kits, and the manager has also had involvement in the designs.

Can't see why Mancini would have anything to do with the design.
He has actually designed the kits before at Sampdoria funnily enough.

I'm actually more worried about then doing us a custom kit than using one of their horrendous templates.

That united one is custom - not sure of the full reasoning and not googling it but think the print is supposed to be gingham, a homage to Manchester being the home of cotton. They also used a photo of Manchester in the advertising that was some other satellite town - note this may it be exactly accurate but I'm not googling anything man u.

Fabio Capello was involved when England produced the tailored by Umbro thing. He wanted the material and simplicity of design. I thought it was a classic personally.
