Obviously we need to score tonight, but in terms of confidence it's very important to know that the team can stick a few away.
Barca will then be very guarded for the 2nd leg. Plus we need a red card in our favour this time around.
City 3 - 1 Barcelona

Scoring will be a bonus. Clean sheet must be the imperative

I can dream.............So if it is 1-1 tonight..................we go to Barca and turn in a Roma like performance..................and win 2-0.

That would give a clear message to the whole of Europe.

I know it's stating the obvious but I'll take any result that requires Barca to win the second leg; by that I mean I don't care about any amount of away goals.

Agree with the clean sheet. Can't see it happening though :-(
Having said that, Suarez hasn't scored many against the top sides has he?

I really want to be positive but I just can't see us keeping a clean sheet which I think is worrying for the second leg.

Any of our players need to take any half chances we get tonight and that is why with a heavy heart I think there is no place for Dzeko tonight (and I class myself as a big fan of Dzeko) on a plus side I think it has done us a favour having Milner out as his ball retention and passing isn't good enough for this sort of game.

I also hope Nasri backs up his trash talking in the press with a 100% performance if he does he is perhaps our best chance to surprise Barca as they will be concentrating on Sergio and Merlin

Milner's fit, plus we missed him badly in the first leg last year.

Not had chance to look today is that 100%

I hope he is on the bench then as you can gather our views on Milner are very different

when we 1st qualified for the chumps league , we were just pleased to be playing the likes of Barca,Real, bayern etc , it was a great occasion and proof of how far our club has come , but i dont think we had the belief , to beat these teams. But now after 4 seasons of chumps league , (and despite UEFA doing their utmost , with the unkind draws) , we have to go up a level. We are the equal of any team in europe on our day , and the club , players and supporters have to believe this , and we can start by stuffing the blaugranes tonight , COME ON YOU BLUES
