I think Aguero is more dangerous when he plays as a second striker. I'll put Dzeko and Kun for Barca game.

If it were me I'd go for it.

UEFAlona are going to get every single call. The constant whistle/pause/free-kickery of these CL matches will likely keep us from ever developing a good flow or tempo. To me, better having that extra guy in the box who can finish on what will probably be a small handful of decent opportunities all night. I'd play Aguero/Bony ideally.

But without Yaya that's the two Ferns on their own unless Pellers wants to use Milner centrally (and he is fit.)

So we might just have to pack the midfield, hope to grind out a result and get lucky. I just hate that, though. You're kind of playing their game in so doing. And always against these you are effectively 11 on 12 to begin with.

I don't think the Kolarov in front of Clichy setup from last year against these should come back under any circumstances though.

Pressure is more on barcelona after their disappointing last season and after dishing out 75m on Suarez
Last year we gave them to much respect and we should have a real go at them

last year, demichelis was playing.

As good as we were today we cannot play the same formation against Barcelona. Playing two up front with silva and nasri wide will be suicide against them-we simply won't get the ball. Need to be pragmatic - kun with silva behind.

Hart is self explaintory.

I beleive Pellers will go with Sagna as he maybe be more adept at keeping out Neymar, he dealt with Hazard and Ribery superbly this season. Flip side of the coin though, have Zabs and Navas attack Alba, as i doubt Neymar will be too much help defensivley.

Kompany and Demichelis is again a must, although Mangala has played very well recently. Clichy over Kolarov as he's in superb form.

Two Ferns is a certain as Yaya is out, Super Frank may be overrun. Navas will be key in this game, hit them on the counter. Silva and Nasri will be valuable in attack, although Jimmy will be a huge help defensivley.

Aguero over Bony and Eddie.

Put my neck out, 2-1 City.

It's a difficult call for Pellegrini, and I don't envy him with the choices he has to make. Prior to today, it seemed straightforward that we had to play one up front, but our performance coupled with Barca's loss might tempt him to go for it.

Toure's absence is a huge blow, and we've been pretty abject playing 442 in Europe. I think a lot depends on Milner's fitness. I think if available we'll play 4231:

Hart
Sagna
Kompany
Demichelis
Clichy
Fernando
Fernandinho
Milner
Nasri
Silva
Aguero

I agree with all of this. The Toure/Milner issue will give them a big advantage, an advantage I am not sure we can compensate for. They both should be fine for the return leg, but even then we will need 1 nil lead going into that game. If we pull this off the confidence boost going into the rest of the season will be immense.
