I understand the votes for Laporte, Stones, and Bernardo, they were all great, but the dirty work from Dhino was clever, dirty, and very important, so he gets my vote.
Stones had a 98% pass completion rate though.

The Mahrez selection was spot on. He helped hold ball longer & slowed down game to frustrate Liverpool . He was going best in penalties in practice sessions . It was a bad miss, a decisive lead taking one. True.
But Mahrez is quality,he will score for MCI, he will score last minute goals, he will score three points giving goals, stay with him. This is one player who has been adamant only and only to join MCI the past one year.
Big appreciation for Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Fernandinho, Silva twins for holding onto the ball forever. MCI are top of the league and there in all competitions.
And Kevin De Bruyne yet to flex his muscles.

Laporte has looked rock solid in nearly every game he’s played but possibly none more so than today. If not for the 5 iron shot by Mahrez, Laporte’s effort could’ve come with 3 points.

Laporte. Was flawless.
Technically, Stones was less flawed than Laporte but both were superb and little to choose between them. Laporte probably made the more eye-catching interventions :)

It was a total improvement in the scousers backyard all over the pitch. Weathered their usual frantic press period then took control of the game. Fir me it was Laporte who was letting nothing get pass him. Excellent display

Laporte for me. Cultured player. Stones a close second, Ferna third.
Brilliant defensive display. Right on the edge with the ball playing at the back, but worked a treat after the first 15 minutes. Until then, we weren’t quite cutting it.
