Mahrez - could have been another hat trick

Foden - is challenging Bernie for hardest working team player, and settling in as “hard to bench”

Bernardo - see above. Love the largely unheralded team effort all over the field. Brilliant ball control.

Fernandinho beginning to show his age, and caught in possession on more.than one occasion.
Aguero just can't into games, although he wasn't helped by the other substitutions last night, which were purely to save energy.

Phil was brilliant. Mahrez even better. That run for the 3rd goal was Messi-esque.

I'm a big Foden fan, but he's had his quiet games recently, just like most of the others. Until today, he'd not really made a difference in any game since Liverpool.
He's had quiet games because he hasn't started!

Since playing Liverpool where he stole the show we've had:

Swansea away - came off the bench in 66th minute
Spurs - played the full game
Everton - played the full game and scored
Arsenal - Benched
Monchengladbach - played 80 mins
West Ham - came off the bench in the 65th minute
Wolves - Benched
United - came off the bench in the 71st minute
Saints - played the full game and got two assists

I think it's fair to say it's hard to have a big impact when that is the run of games you've been offered. Pep is resting him for the business end of the season.

Mahrez was brilliant today. A lot of fans have questioned his workrate. But honestly in terms of his technical skills he must be one of the best we have ever had. He plays with a cigar in his mouth.
Tbh the Leicester fans were all saying the same thing about Riyad when he played at their place. They used to call him the 1 in 4 player. Although, it was often muted that had he turned up every week he would have been as good as anybody ever in the Prem. I believe them too.

A few contenders for this one and usually a 2 goals scored player would get it. Mahrez's goals were two things of beauty, Foden grew into it and could've bagged a couple himself. Walker rock solid as always and the whole back line deserve a mention.
I'm going for one of the more 'under the radar' performances and giving it Fernandinho. Thoroughly bossed the middle and linked defence and attack all night. His 30 yard sprint and crunching tackle to win the ball and set up our second goal was a game changer.
