I think the fuckers will throw everything at us from the whistle, so if we can ride the early storm we will pick them off. Dias has transformed our defence so if Eric or John partner him I am not worried. Cancelo has settled now as well. If Phil starts he needs to pick his passes better and if Mahrez does he needs to have the energy of Bernardo as well. Very worried about this game because they have pace and that midfield of ours is very pedestrian. Would like to see sterling and Torres on either flank or foden drifting in.

Against Man Utd it would be foden because he knows how much this means to the club but even Bernardo would run his socks off . Any midfield with Rodri and gundo starting really worries me because any club with pace will come straight through us and put pressure on our defence. Thats my opinion anyway mate

Foden yes, then probably Kev, Bernie. Maybe Ake if he ever gets a go there. Certainly Palmer and to a lesser extent Tommy Doyle.
Our three slowest are probably our three main defensive midfield options- Rodri, Ferna, Gundo. Which exposes a flaw in the squad balance, hence the rumoured interest in Zakaria and Luiz

Gotta be on our toes for this game. Rashford Greenwood or Cavani Martial. With that forward lineup. I wouldn't let Zinchenko or Mendy near the 1st team. Play AKE or Laporte left back. Walker right back. Cancelo no, otherwise Rodri would have to sit and protect our back 4 for the whole game.

Midfield would go with Fernandino, Foden and Bernado. All 3 have bags of energy to close opposition down. Torres, Sterling and Jesus upfront.

am still haunted by the 30 years of hurt facing them at OT and coming away with little to shout about

In the Centurions season, we lost, narrowly, away to Liverpool, and stupidly, at home, to the rags. Otherwise, I think I'm right in saying we picked up maximum points from all our immediate rivals. So far we've had a cagey home draw with Liverpool, and we lost really disappointingly to Spurs (still seething). It's really not quite good enough. This one is a marker. I think we've got to win it. The team will know that.

The actual speed is on their front line. Which will be manned by our back line. I'm not sure Rodri or Gundogan need worry about the speed of Mctomfoolerry or the Geezer from Chelsea.

Always remember going down on to the kippax forecourt at half time only to hear city fans goading them through the barrier with galatasaray, 2-0 up and fucked it up from mid week. You could see it coming. Can't think of many games which made me feel sick as that one..
