Manager sack race 2017 / 2018

You do wonder what Everton fans actually want. They loved Moyes, who plays like Allardyce and never won anything. Martinez tried to play progressive football but they wanted him out. Koeman gets them into the Europa League, has a bad start to the following season and they want him gone. Allardyce cones in, finishes 8th and now they want him gone. Now it looks like they’re going to get that relegation specialist Marco Silva in. Let’s hope he stays true to form..

There were a lot of Evertonians who hated Gollum and his negative tactics.

I hated moyes years before he left as his tactics were one dimensional and he never raised his game when it mattered in the big games. Allardyce did a job in the same way moyes did - he looked at the games he could win and did just that but never tried in the games against the top clubs. Damage limitation at its finest and as others have said fans now want progressive football.

BFS will spend summer taking talking bollocks on ITV or BBC World cup coverage waiting to reduce Cardiff or another club who are in the shit by November. Ironic if Everton are down there by then....

Fans are sheep and mostly thick.
What Allardyce has done for Everton is incredible. Got a average bunch of players heading for relegation under the ‘attacking manager’ Koeman to 8th place in 6 months, unable time to recruit his own players. What amazing entertaining football was they playing before big sam ? They look across to there neighbours and demand the same as Liverpool - perhaps when they spend as much as them they will see this pathetic ‘entertainment’ they so desperately crave.
Same for us Hammers fans.

I agree to some extent with your sentiment but this is the PL. It’s awash with money and all clubs are able to spend more than enough to fill squads with quality and to hire managers who play the game the right way with entertaining football that we have proven can also be successful.

The dogs of war, hoof ball tactics of some dinosaurs managers like Sam and Moyes just no longer cuts it I’m afraid at this level and fans paying ever more to go to games just won’t put up with it.

Football is moving on and it’s about time.

with pep klopp and poch trying to play good attacking football fans go and watch their teams against us and then realise what shite they are being served up.hopefully people are waking up to the fact its supposed to be entertainment and recruit accordingly.

The above + they're well aware of how much TV money their clubs are receiving and won't swallow the poverty argument as an excuse for shit play as easily these days.

How about the modern era of managers like Bilic, koemen, Carlos Carvalhal, Remi garde, di Canio .... list goes on

There’s a reason clubs fall back to the old guard. Look how Hodgson has turned Palace around, Allardyce with everton and Moyes with us. All done fantastic jobs. But because there not ‘fancy’ enough, no matter what happens on the pitch fans won’t be happy.

In my 20+ years of going West Ham, we played some our best attacking football under Allardyce but that’s quickly forgotten at the first sign of a bad patch - deluded fans wants a foreign character on the sidelines turning bunch of average joes into Barcelona. Soon as they realise results are sh*t and there facing relegation they go crawling back to you know who to get them out the woodwork.
