Manchester: Tuesday 1st October 2024 – Sisk has officially begun the main construction phase for Jersey Wharf and Eliza Yard, Manchester Life’s first residential developments in the next stage of Ancoats’ regeneration. The projects are set to welcome residents from mid-2026.

Jersey Wharf will offer 190 one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental homes, transforming a previously vacant site on Jersey Street along the Rochdale Canal into a new residential community.

Eliza Yard, located directly across Jersey Street at the corner of Poland Street, will offer 126 one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes for sale. Both developments include concierge services, outdoor gardens, and secure cycle parking.

It looks like One Heritage tower is dead. Not that it was ever alive, and going to get built.

As well as One Heritage changing its name to Zentra Group, the development company plans to sell a portfolio of assets valued at £7m to reduce debt, acquire a 30% stake in a Manchester apartment scheme it is developing, exit the co-living sector on viability grounds, and delist from the London Stock Exchange.

One Heritage hopes the restructure and rebrand will “position the company for sustainable growth, financial stability, and enhanced market presence”, according to a Stock Exchange filing.

An update in the Stock Exchange filing on One Heritage’s most high-profile scheme, a 55-storey tower in Salford’s Greengate district, was brief: “The company has an ongoing development management agreement and has agreed updated terms, which includes a 3% fee of any land sale.”

(Zentra Group still has the One Heritage tower listed under their portfolio)

Avison Young has been instructed by Global Street Art (‘the Applicant’) to submit an Advert Consent and Listed Building Consent for a proposed mural on the southern elevation of 12 Piccadilly, Manchester. The formal description of development, as set out on the application forms, is as follows:
