Manchester’s Changing Skyline

I nipped over to Salford Quays this Afternoon, so I took some construction pictures in town, and some skyline pictures from the car park at Mediacity.

St Michael's tower construction site.

While Manchester still has i think 51 tower cranes up and running JRB , going off new proposals on ss it seems we are well down this year .

The latest crane count total posted by Trident Rider on the 3rd of October, showing the crane count update from the 24th of September, was 50 cranes.

Last October the crane count was 39. There is an increase in cranes roughly a year on. Click on the link, scroll down, and you will see the crane count timeline.

The largest number of cranes counted since I began posting in SSC-MCR, on and off, was 82 cranes, July, 2019.

There’s a few new towers going up next year, so those towers and other proposals starting next year should keep the crane count steady.
