Drove down Chester Road this afternoon into the city centre. The Great Jackson Street cluster of towers with the addition of the Blade and Three60 look awesome. Viadux is now also visible adding to the wider cluster of towers. It’s a real landmark gateway into the city centre. It’s just a shame the towers are visible as you leave (Old) Trafford rather than the Etihad.

Ev0, our ground-breaking net zero development at Didsbury Technology Park in Greater Manchester, is set to transform the future of workspace. Constructed from a mass timber frame that will store 4,000 tonnes of carbon, the £31m development will be 100% electric and produce all energy on site or via our co-operative wind farm at Kirk Hill.

In fact, its energy efficiency will make workspace here more affordable for our customers in a challenging economic climate, with operational costs predicted to be 58% lower than a traditional new build — the most operationally efficient building in the UK. Ev0 is the ideal location for businesses that care about their carbon footprint.

The best view of Manchester is from the imperial war museum, at night. The sky scrapers are reflected off the open water by Salford Quays. With all the lights are on, if you squint, it looks like Chicago.
