Did they forget to take the scaffolding down or is there a reason for this bit?

I read somewhere it was supposed to take your eye to the sky, rather than have it stop dead and look like a solid block, not sure if it is the real reason, someone I knew thought they were solar panels once it was finished, not sure why as it is not solid.

The Therme Manchester site is being excavated, ready for construction to begin.

Most of the digging is at the back of the site near the canal.

Lorries are coming on to the site and taking the soil, etc away.

I'll take some pictures from the Trafford Centre pedestrian bridge in a bit.
