If the last few weeks are anything to go by then I can see the attacker getting off for pleading self-defence

Yeah, that's a good point and I think only a small part of town in the immediate vicinity has been cordoned off. I've actually got to head down near there in the next hour or so for an appointment just off Deansgate and I've not heard anything about staying out of town, etc.

I work on Deansgate and there are no problems
