I'll be pissed if this happens. We have a fantastic opportunity to win the league next year if we keep Mancini. Moyes won't win it 1st year and neither will José (although he's got a better chance than Moyes) new managers need time to settle ok José has been their before but will have a different squad this time. Mancini will know what he needs and imo will deliver so it's absolutely ridiculous if we sack him.

I've been found out ;). In all seriousness though I'd be hard pressed to believe his contract doesn't have a reasonable get out clause. Contracts are made to be broken especially in football

To be fair I am still waiting for someone like castles or di marzio or a reputable english journo to shed some light on all this as the papers in Spain have as much of an agenda as the tabloids do
It's too quiet for me. Usually something like this, regarding us in particular, would be picked apart by the papers here.

I know obviously news can break elsewhere first but the coverage of a story this big would have spread more so than a few tweets and a Chilean news outlet if it had any real substance to it imo

As was said before, it was rumoured a month ago but from then very little but here-say.

The only place ive heard Pellegrini is taking over in the summer is here on this site its a absolute disgrace to be talking about Mancini like this the guy deserves more respect from so called city fans. Ive supported city since 1965 been through a lot of bad times since the great Joe Mercer left the club and we have had lots of sh-t managers since then i recall Frizzel, Mcneil, Bond, Benson, Clarke, Pearce, Ball,Neal,Coppell, just a few names to jog your memory. Mancini has delivered what we have craved for for over 40years silverware and on the eve of possibly adding another trophy to our cupboard you so called fans are calling for him to be sacked your a fcking disgrace to this great club and we dont need so called fans like this, go support that arrogant lot at the swamp you will feel at home over there. We have no divine right to win all the trophies on offer and some are harder to win than others so give Mancini time and he will deliver, i dont want to go back down the road of hiring and firing and im sure our fantastic owners are men of integrity, respect and honour will take this great club to the very top, patience is the key, i will be at wembley screaming my lungs out for city and Mancini wanna join me rant over.

To be fair it's quite an old rumour whilst I nearly agree with you do remember this is a forum for debate and discussion

It would be very easy for City to put all these rumours and 'negativity' to bed.For some reason they have chose not to..

When Soriano talked of Mancini being a champion it was reported as the dreaded vote of confidence. No value responding to every bit of gossip on the managers position, and the club rarely bother to.

Pellegrini is tactically superb and is renowned for generally getting the most out of his players. IMO the only argument about Pellegrini's suitability is that he's had just 1 year at a major club, but personally IF we do appoint him I think he will do a fantastic job and surprise a lot of people here who write him off because he doesn't have bags of trophies (in Europe at least). Given the right platform I feel he'll win plenty of trophies.

I respect your knowledge and opinion so I hope you are right about him as it is not the move that I want us to make.
