He's also not good enough!

too hurried for me... no composure, no finesse... he's a decent run about... A young Scott parker

Just remind us all again. What age is he ?? OK so therefore he has a lot of years in front of him to mature into a very good player.Just give the lad a fucking break.

He's 21 in November... whats that got to do with it?

Not saying he's crap mate.. just not good enough to break into our team due to the reasons I've given... that is a fact at this moment in time.

As I said, a young Scott Parker type of player... will definitely make a good living from the game just not here. In my opinion of course!

Sorry, levets its me who`s pissed !! Thought you were talking about Rodwell !!
Its me age mate.

And gain us nothing.

Tony Fernandez made a similar statement a few weeks before he got rid of Leslie.

It means very little, and wouldnt stop speculation.

Well he got rid of him didn't he.

I am not saying we put out a statement and then 3 weeks later get rid of Mancini- as that would make us look stupid.

My point is, we should know by now if Mancini is staying next season, or not. If we don't then thats pretty poor.

But assuming we do know- if he is staying, we put a statement out, and that loses us nothing.

I'm not saying we put a statement out but then sack him. I do think, if he is definitely staying, then we stop the stories.

We have a statement, a manager on a 5 year contract.

By putting out a statement for a rumour, you need to put out a statement for every rumour otherwise people will think that something must be up.

And history will show that statements like you want have very little effect.

The fact you used the QPR example suggests you think we might get rid of Mancini then??

Does it?

is it possible to be an inner and an outer?

on the one hand i think we should go for the stability approach, mancini has proven he can win trophies and i genuinely think europe will improve given some more time.

but on the other we have a fantastic squad that oozes ability and it would be exciting and interesting to see if another top manager can get us playing even better football and go one more than mancini.

didsbury dave and the likes obviously believe the latter and are 100% on this, and the people against their argument obviously believe the second. to be honest I'm torn and like always, keep changing my mind.

It's perfectly acceptable and understandable to be conflicted on this matter; in fact it is OK to have whatever opinion you want on such a matter, in a free country. Unfortunately the nuances of some people's positions seem to be a bit difficult for certain people to grasp, which is one reason I just declared myself to be an Outer and have focused my time on the arguments for Bobby moving on.

Well I don't know- thats why I put two question marks. and said suggests, not proves.

Just the fact that you used an example of a club putting out a statement and then sacking a manager 3 weeks after, to demonstrate why we should not put out a statement seems a little odd. Not exactly the perfect comparison to use if you strongly believe Mancini is staying. Strange example?

Anyway, like I said- I'm not saying Mancini is going/ not saying I want him to go.

I just think the club are letting a strong link rumble on. And actually, we don't need to specifically deny any rumour- just make a comment that he is going to be with us so all stories are false. I understand your points, but lets leave it, as we are going round in circles.

I understand that rubbishing one story, may set a precedent. But this story seems to have gathered pace, and the sighting with Txiki and the agent adds more foundation to it. All I am saying is, if we are sticking with Mancini, I don't think a statement, or just a comment from someone, rubbishing the ongoing Pellegrini link would harm us.

Absolutely no reason not to quietly let it be known that we are not going to appoint MP...

that's true but at the moment he is like a young scott parker but with less ability, he might go on to be a great player but he's not great at the moment.

rodwell is streets ahead.

I was on about Razak.... WTF? Are we all on the piss already?

My view as well.

What the hell is this thread seriously still doing around?

Pellegrini has managed too many clubs! 12 or 13 IIRC, and only one lasted for more than 2 years!

Stick with Mancini ffs
