"For me, it has been a great honour and pleasure to compete against Sir Alex for three years," said Mancini. "It was a great honour to beat him in Old Trafford and I wish him good luck for his future." The Cabal would have us dispense with this great orator.
At what point during the interview did the Great Orator enlighten us all the "It is important that we work hard and play well" in the Cup Final? Or should I say, how many times?
but it eez important..nobody can deny that
;-)

Mancini waiting for his dinner: "eet iz importante that we work 'ard to cook da pasta well"
Mancini sitting down with his wife to dinner: "eet iz imprtant we work 'ard to eat well"
Mancini on finding his pasta is overcooked *shrugs shoulders, rolls eyes, flicks hair* "Zeez iz da dinner. Eet iz imprortante we work 'ard to fineesh"
Mancini on seeing his wife's still full plate: "Ower finishing was not good again"
Mancini when asked about his wife full plate*shrugs shoulder, rolls eyes, flicks hair: "She as to work 'arder to eat well."<br /><br />-- Fri May 10, 2013 1:12 pm --<br /><br />

The club have briefed nothing, only silence, even for requests for off-the-record steers.

It's one thing not to react in public to every story that floats about, very different to guiding narrative.

I am of the firm belief our press officers don't have a clue what is going on, and why even should they?

They are only told something when they need to know. That way they can't compromise either themselves or the club, they have relationships to maintain.

Regardless of the outcome tomorrow, I would expect lips to become a little looser over the next 48 hours as to the landscape.

Maybe this is why the club haven't briefed you.

Doesn't suit this thread's agenda though does it?

Im just sitting here pleasantly humming my favourite tune to myself, awaiting a reply to that story....mm mm mmmmmmmm mmmm mm mmmmm....

Disregarding the fact that it's a month old, it could easily be argued he's given himself away there with the phrase "..to offer a new contract".

It'll be a sad day when we get a manager we can't lovingly parody.

Going by that Dave it seems the longer Mancini stays in a restaurant, the better his English gets..

For the last three months the club have knocked back numerous journos in regards requests over various candidates being linked with Mancini's job, not just Pellegrini.

The link to the comments (today?) made by Pellegrini's agent, he's saying absolutely nothing which can incriminate him or his client in any shape or form.

Regardless of whether it's City or anyone else, the only thing he managed to get out there were his contract clauses!

The interviewer missed a trick, the only question should have been with regard what the purpose of his meeting with our Director of Football was.

This thread, and reports in various countries, only continues to exist as a result of any form of clarity from City.

Edit - FFS - just seen the link is a month old!

You could argue that Dave, but you'd look like a tool if you did.

But you carry on, it's fun to watch.

This thread exists because people who desperately want to be ITK, aren't.

And that there are idiots out there who can't see the wood for the silverware.

Any sane human being without an agenda would read the club's policy of not briefing about the rumours, is because there is, amazingly, nothing in the rumours.
