With respect, that is an utterly ludicrous expectation, because no football team in the history of the game has ever had constant incremental exponential success, regardless of wealth.
It just doesn't work that way, otherwise you would win everything every year, or view the season as a backwards step.

Because it's a question than will provide answers as to why Mancini is below par.

Benitez is point of ridicule here somewhat yet he's bettered Mancini's achievements if he wins the Uefa Cup and he's done so with fans who hate him, players likes Terry who undermine him (hence why he got benched) and has made the most out of what he has at the club rather than bemoaning not having this that and the other.

City come first always and Mancini serv3s out club. We owe him nothing but appreciation. However that appreciation should be just that rather than a reason for him to stay. A manager who won't be kept on by Chelsea has done imo better than our manager yet apparently Mancini must be saved at all costs and yet Rafa is a clown (I don't want Rafa but I think it's a good point to make to show this ridiculous sentimentality biased thought process.).

Yet Benitez was always tactically outclassed by Mancini everytime we met.And as far as Terry goes atleast when he is on the pitch he is giving 100% unlike a certain Dzeko who for some reason is just not motivated enough (Even Terry and Lampard gets benched but each time they play they give their all atleast).And its Chelsea fans and Rags who thinks Rafa is a clown.
