There are more parties who can leak a story than the club, you know.

The first leak of this story came from Chile, Pellegrini's home country, back in February.

I understand that mate, but i doubt benarbia has pelligrinis ear????

I know how it works, people release stories to get more money, force clubs hands etc

Pelligrini doesn't gain anything by releasing anything to the press a week before the cup final does he?

Bernarbia has heard a rumour that has been around for a long time now and seems to be gaining momentum by the day. I'm not saying it's gospel, but it's folly just to dismiss it given the current "back story": The meeting last week. The leaks from Chile- and now Spain. Many, many people are involved in an expensive football transaction and football people love to gossip.

The only places these stories gather momentum is on the threads on here.
Like you say, people love to gossip and if there was any truth in it then everybody and the tea lady would know by now.

What are Pellegrini's strong points, what will he bring that Mancini couldn't?

(Other than Isco......)
Usually done well in Europe, with both Villareal & Malaga. Got Real their record points haul and they only got rid of him due to Mourinho agreeing to join them.

Cheers PB.

Is his style more attacking and adventurous than Mancini's? because some of our play this season has been extremely dull and without an option/ability to change.

I would simply say Mancini has earned the right for a decent send-off this weekend.

Whatever comes out in the next week to ten days, his name will be there in the history books.

Have never made any secret that I believe the next step needs to be taken with a new hand on the wheel, and have felt for a long time it will be Pellegrini's

For what it's worth, I was told 24 hours prior Hughes was to be sacked at the Sunderland game.

And for what it's worth this time, I have been told we are very close to nailing down an agreement with Isco.

That could mean anything at this stage.

IS isco extremely overpriced though?

i assume the intimation is a pellegrini sanctioned transfer(in effect bringing the player with him)

I would assume Pellegrini had no say in transfers to or from the club

He has a reputation for free flowing football. Also a reputation for being a good people manager. He could be just what we need.

If he's tactically aware and emotionally intelligent enough to manage a squad of big names/egos then he will clean up with this squad and ADUG's backing.
