Jesus christ.....just read a couple of pages of this utter bollox....Been a City fan since 1977...so funnily enough 2 MAJOR titles in 2 years and hopefully a 3rd on Saturday makes me jizz me grundies........Mancini already a legend let's all get behind him shall we.

OK this is my two peneth.

Lets look at the returns we have had on our Managers both how we played and what we won against the History and credibility they came with. Now im not going to lay out stats, as they can be flakey, but as a generalisation

Mark Hughes - Came with no history of success or wining fook all previously. Left having won fook all and no signs of winning anything. Occasional great game due to some of the expensive players bought.

Sven - Came with great CV and blindly assembled a team in 4-5 weeks that had the capabilities to go on and do "something". He won nothing i know with CIty but he was shafted big style

Stuart Pearce - No reputation no history - At City, Won Fook all and played the worst football I've ever seen

Kevin Keegan - Came with a CV of exciting football but not much silverware, good at getting teams promoted - At City, got promoted, exciting football

Joe Royle - Good at getting teams promoted and getting best out of players, bits of silverware previously, with City both religations and promotions, got the best out an average squad

1 - 2 miss a few

Alan Ball Came to city with a reputation for religation, need I go on?

So there is a theme building up

Mancini, came to City with an outstanding domestic trawl of trophies but limited to no european success there. What has he done for City? Great domestic success upto now, no european success.

The Managers that have it all are very few and far between.

I don't think we are a club that should be lookinging to plug that european gap with a manger that has not delivered the goods before.

I have no doubt that if we had Mourinio we would win, and a lot of things inc Chumps league, however, that comes with bagagge that severe it is just not City or what our Owners stand for, we have a bit more class. - Sorry special one, but not for City

I think that we are too far along our development to be chancing our progression with a manager with "Potential"

We all know Mancini's negatives are his man management skills and upto now poor european efforts, but is Pelligrini the right person to take over? He might be a great man manager and have all the squad over for a BBQ and he might of had a good run in chumps league with an unfashionable team, but that seems all he has, there are a few bits of silverware in his past in a different continent, but is it sound enough to take a punt on?

It is a very difficult decision to take with the future of our club at the moment, not one to take lightly, and will no doubt have the top brass locked in a strokey beard meeting for hours, weeks and months.

As for Talkshite "MOOSE", he is the apitomy of modern day football journo's, LAZY WANKERS. He is a joke of massive proportions, even Alan Brazil pities him. So OP, don't stake your rep on Talk shite rumours mate.

If Pellegrini does replace Mancini in the summer it sheds a very bad light on Txiki in terms of discretion.

I saw your original and it was a good post.

But if you want a change of manager get ready for plenty more misrepresentation, along with the wrath of self-righteousness, from the Forza Crew. Hell hath no fury and all that ;-)

It was a stupid post that made no sense, for reasons I explained.
So if you fancy explaining just how a team can win more and more every year without a blip, then I'm all ears.
And try dropping the tiresome 'inner/outer' Forza Crew bullshit because it is not something I have ever done.
And when it comes to self-righteousness David, I think you own the copyright.

Read it again please mate. I didn't say we should be winning more and more every season, without a blip. What I said was, we should be going one better. I meant we should be bettering ourselves in the CL. I'd be happy with 2nd place in the league a quarter final place in the CL and.....yeah, why not the cup as well? We could win that on Saturday and I for one, would be over the moon. However, with the amount of money we have, we shouldn't be coming last in a CL group; not with the squad we have. Mancini cannot manage super stars. You have to understand, I do NOT expect us to win the league title every season. Christ no!

Fair enough mate - maybe I misunderstood your meaning.
I think we all agree that an improved European campaign is a must, and I'm sure that will be made clear in no uncertain terms to whoever is in charge at the start of next season.
But sometimes it's all to easy to focus on our failures whilst ignoring our successes.
We do need to find a ruthless streak both away from home domestically and abroad, but if someone had offered me one,(possibly two), FA cups and a Premier League title in three years when Mancini took the job, then I would have snatched their hands off, and I suspect most on here would too.

Maybe Mancini wanted to re-sign, was told to stay where he was and the club would make moves whilst he stayed intact.

Just a thought ;)

Txiki is doing what's best for City. We look likely to get Isco, Cavani, Fernandinho and a few others. By the end of summer yourself and others will be shrivelled up behind a screen in litres of sperm such is the quality of change this summer.

Just you wait!

Dave comes along with his little winks to make out he maybe or maybe not already knows something to move things along a little.
Fantasy gets in his little quips about how bad the mancini is but nothing else
Prestwich agrees with anything they all say soon enough he will drop the odd I may know something.
Nip posts is usual boring long winded posts which is just the same thing but with the words jumbled around a little.
Tolmie pops in with some info which might or might not be happening.

It is quite predictable really

And you come in with fuck all to add.

I do remember adding my thoughts on the subject sometime in 2011 and thought there would be no point in saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over and over and over and over and over over again .
There you go just like one of your posts on this subject Nip
Mancini threads really are like Groundhog Day or like listening to that stupid Peter Kay/Geraldine charity song's chorus.

What was the idea behind the 5 year deal signed last year then?

To make sure that we will be compensated if Bobby decided that he wants to go elsewhere.

As much as I'd like him to stay, I reckon that if he goes it will be because he has got an offer from another club, not because he was sacked.

Breaking news- It is actually going to be Mark Hughes or maybe 'arry wedknapp......... or someone else, in fact I reckon it could be an Italian manager called Mancini.
