OK this is my two peneth.

Lets look at the returns we have had on our Managers both how we played and what we won against the History and credibility they came with. Now im not going to lay out stats, as they can be flakey, but as a generalisation

Mark Hughes - Came with no history of success or wining fook all previously. Left having won fook all and no signs of winning anything. Occasional great game due to some of the expensive players bought.

Sven - Came with great CV and blindly assembled a team in 4-5 weeks that had the capabilities to go on and do "something". He won nothing i know with CIty but he was shafted big style

Stuart Pearce - No reputation no history - At City, Won Fook all and played the worst football I've ever seen

Kevin Keegan - Came with a CV of exciting football but not much silverware, good at getting teams promoted - At City, got promoted, exciting football

Joe Royle - Good at getting teams promoted and getting best out of players, bits of silverware previously, with City both religations and promotions, got the best out an average squad

1 - 2 miss a few

Alan Ball Came to city with a reputation for religation, need I go on?

So there is a theme building up

Mancini, came to City with an outstanding domestic trawl of trophies but limited to no european success there. What has he done for City? Great domestic success upto now, no european success.

The Managers that have it all are very few and far between.

I don't think we are a club that should be lookinging to plug that european gap with a manger that has not delivered the goods before.

I have no doubt that if we had Mourinio we would win, and a lot of things inc Chumps league, however, that comes with bagagge that severe it is just not City or what our Owners stand for, we have a bit more class. - Sorry special one, but not for City

I think that we are too far along our development to be chancing our progression with a manager with "Potential"

We all know Mancini's negatives are his man management skills and upto now poor european efforts, but is Pelligrini the right person to take over? He might be a great man manager and have all the squad over for a BBQ and he might of had a good run in chumps league with an unfashionable team, but that seems all he has, there are a few bits of silverware in his past in a different continent, but is it sound enough to take a punt on?

It is a very difficult decision to take with the future of our club at the moment, not one to take lightly, and will no doubt have the top brass locked in a strokey beard meeting for hours, weeks and months.

As for Talkshite "MOOSE", he is the apitomy of modern day football journo's, LAZY WANKERS. He is a joke of massive proportions, even Alan Brazil pities him. So OP, don't stake your rep on Talk shite rumours mate.

Good read as usual Gracey, agree with everything you say, however TS might be taking a punt but i'm afraid the wheels look in motion, i'd sooner Bob was given the respect he deserves and the chance to have another pop at it but alas it looks over )O:

My personal opinion on in or out with Bobby is exactly the same Zim, I think he does deserves another year, and the minimum expectation should be vast improvement in chumps league (ie 1/4 finals) fighting for prem into the last week of the season and a decent cup run somewhere (FA or CAP 1). If he doesn't get near that then I think we can say he's been given a fair chance.

But, I think you are also correct that sentance has been passed on Bobby already.

All I will say, whoever it maybe, they have to hit the ground running or there will be unrest with the Forza brigade.

I can see Pre season being a Club 18-30 Magaluff week bonding session (with Garcia sitting at the side with his iced water tutting like he's got trill stuck in his teeth)

I wouldn't like to be the one who has to explain the rules of cricket to Tevez.

Especially for Carlos

Cricket: As explained to a foreigner...

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in.

Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out.

When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.
Sometimes you get men still in and not out.

When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in.

There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.

When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game

Maybe Mancini wanted to re-sign, was told to stay where he was and the club would make moves whilst he stayed intact.

Just a thought ;)

Txiki is doing what's best for City. We look likely to get Isco, Cavani, Fernandinho and a few others. By the end of summer yourself and others will be shrivelled up behind a screen in litres of sperm such is the quality of change this summer.

Just you wait!

Your thought still doesn't take away from the fact that Txiki's meeting with Martinez lacked discretion.

As for the second part of your post, grow up!

Where is Txiki meant to meet up? A cave? It's very hard to meet up anywhere and not get found out.

As I said, nobody knows yet that the club haven't accepted a resignation from Bobby and have made moves accordingly, nobody knows anything yet!

As for grow up. I meant what I said, Txiki will come good and everyone will be chuffed.

No not a cave might sound mad but how about an office or even a hotel if you need to keep something under wraps.Or meet in Abu Dhabi.

Remember this
"As for grow up. I meant what I said, Txiki will come good and everyone will be chuffed."
If Txiki decides to keep Mancini

Talksport reporting it as a "very strong rumour"
Its the fucking Moose reporting it, hes usually 70% wrong

Wake up at the back !!

Unless its a prediction on the buffet at the next day's game....

Fat C Unt

He wouldn't know what the press luncheon facilities are like at Etihad as he doesn't travel any further north of West Sham - LAZY WANKER. He is just a very very poor sports reporter. Knows fook all about any sport.

Andrew McKenna at TS on the other hand is far superior. He knows his sport. Especially Cricket, Rugby and Golf to add to his decent knowledge of football

And for what it's worth this time, I have been told we are very close to nailing down an agreement with Isco.

Christ - it's like Walter Mitty Top Trumps on here today.
Is there a prize for the most convincing made-up story or something?
Ok - I'll have a go.
Our next manager is Miranda.

haha - you crack me up NF

For what it's worth our kid told me 2 month ago that Pellegrini was being heavily touted and i responded with the usual 'stfu' you 'bell cheese', i'm a massive Bobby fan, always will be but from what i've just been told from a player mate he looks a goner - no agenda, no stirring the melting pot, just a golden goodbye!

Interesting to hear that from you.

Thought we were getting a new ice cream vendor at the gasworks entrance of the Etihad when I saw this headline.Just to satisfy my urge to understand the headline is it close (as in,close the door) or close (as in,nearby) ?

I've never seen them agree on anything ever.
