Don't think that anything will happen on the manager front until after the US Tour, it would be a PR disaster to dismiss Mancini before NYCFC are unveiled.
I don't think a few of you are getting it.

I think the bigger potential PR disaster would be to get in a managerial boxing match with United and Chelsea in pre-season. Keep Mancini for another season at least, and the club don't get bombarded about "missing out" on whoever goes elsewhere.

Me too.....
I think what PB is trying to say is that Mancini is cutting and running, leaving us in the lurch, so to speak.
Which is why the meeting between Begiristain and Martinez was in public. It's been funny seeing people get all hot under the collar about undermining Mancini blah, blah, blah when Mancini knows full well what is happening because he precipitated the situation.

do you know this for sure PB? How do you know, can you say?

That's nothing more than paranoid Speculation PB. I think Mancini loves it at City and is desperate to stay.

That's why he's all smiles. Pity he can't bring himself to do that at pitchside.
He'll have somethin lined up in Italy. I'll wish him well, but won't miss him.

You want to watch him smile pitchside? What if he danced a jig every time he made a substitution, would that help?

Of course I wanna see him smile. Remember football with a smile? It motivates and gives off good vibes to fans and to media. Do you remember Joe Mercer giving interviews from the bench? Praising players and smiling and showing what a fantastic boss he was. It rubs off on the pitch. I'm a youth team coach in Germany and one thing I say to my lads is, "I wanna see as many high fives, loves and cuddles, praising, hand claps the lot." All this motivates and that's one thing he lacks. His body language is shocking, he shouts at players, he's forever arching his back and touching his forehead. All bad signs. Football with a smile, it pays. Obviously not saying that I could coach City :) but he needs to go. We need a leader. He can't hack it. MY opinion.

I think some folk would be happy with anyone other than Mancini in charge mate, just as long as they looked like Michael Flatley doing fucking Riverdance every time we won a throw in, or maybe did a comedy slot at half time.
Unbelievable Jeff.

Go on, I'll admit it.

I laughed ;-)

We'll see but I firmly believe it's informed speculation. He and particularly his wife are desperate to go back to Italy. Under normal circumstances you'd be right (although I'd say he was prepared to stay rather than desperate) and certainly the owners wanted him to stay is my understanding. But the Southampton & Everton games made his mind up.

But let's see what happens. In the meantime let's enjoy the news from Mordor.

Could events at the Swamp change his mind? Or does he feel that the players won't give him their all (on top of any desire to go home)?
