This Malaga based journalist is talking about Pellegrini to City... my Spanish is awful and Google Translate is even worse but I think he says it's on and that Isco and Camacho could come with him.

I'll have a look when I get in from work.

If Mancini leaves will we still be in for Fernandinho and Cavani?

I think the whole point of the Director of Football model is to ensure continuity. He (Txiki) will OK the players and the club will stick to a system (4-3-3?) in future no matter who is in charge. Cavani does seem like a Mancini signing but Cavani is arguably the most complete forward in the world so I'm not sure any coach would turn him down. :)

Txiki: Manuel, would you like us to keep Roque here for you and cancel our purchase of Cavani?

Pellegrini: Do I look like something from Jim Henson's workshop?

He says that Pellegrini is waiting on Malaga to see how the future is planned but he hold little hope.

Very strong possibility of Isco coming with him, Camacho too but he suggests Isco is a very strong possibility.

He's on 9m euro a year and we've apparently offered 6m here (me, probably sterling).

Txiki: Not sure Phil Jones is for sale.

I'm with you all the way but iunfortunately that's not how football at the top level works today. Make no mistake about it City will want Champions League success or at least some progress next season to keep the club progressing.

Im sure the owner, Begiristain, Soriano and most fans do

The only thing Pellegrini does is tick the box that says we want a coach, rather than a manager.
