Waking up as Premier League champions is great. No stress, no worry, just a huge fucking party to look forward to later. We've done the last day, come from behind bullshit, I'm getting older and so is my heart, thanks City for giving it a rest this year

I think some people are being a little over sensitive about Lineker mentioning the charges. Not mentioning it would have been jumped on by the anti-City press whilst mentioning it in the way he did in a fairly innocuous way and allowing Shearer to say it’s all about the football on the pitch was probably the best option.

It's called framing the narrative. The BBC has adopted a very clear editorial policy, this title and all subsequent titles have to be qualified.
