Many excellent posts on this thread. Forgive me for picking some bones out.

As Deds was chosen by MP last night, why would he replace him with Sagna on Sat?

Also not sure that Zab, after a top game and scoring, would be anything other than chomping at the bit to play against Everton.

In summary, it ain't broke, why fix it? Changes can be made as and when during the match.

However, the three points are more important than worrying about Rome, the latter can take care of itself.

The other lads can come back in a week or so. The festive fixtures are always hectic but we cannot complain. None of the other 'top 5/6' have as good a run of games as we have, theoretically at least.

Same side apart from Mangala for Boyata for me. Boyata had a decent game yesterday but lets be honest, he was rarely tested against a shit side.

I've not seen much of Everton this year but not many positive things are being said about them compared to last season.

December could be a brilliant month if we keep playing the way we have the last 4 games.

3 games in 8 days then a week off after the Leicester game

I think Sagna coming in for Zabba would be a decent option, and Mangala for Boyata, but those are the only changes I would make

Hopefully we can get a couple of goals up, bring Fernandinho and Aguero off and wrap them in cotton wool for Wednesday

Hart, Sagna, Demichelis, Mangala, Clichy, Navas, Fernandinho, Yaya, Nasri, Jovetic, Aguero

3 - 1
Drop Zabba ?????????

I dont think Pellegrini can completely ignore the Roma game. Its massive, even by the standards of recent years. And we will be playing with a weakened team.

Surprised EFC aren't doing better. I thought the return of Barkley would see them surge up the table, but it hasn't happened

We need Mangala back because Lukaku and Mirallas are quick and will test our back 4 in a way that Sunderland were not able to.

Dangerous game, because focus will shift towards Roma, and we are still missing key players. So far Nasri, Aguero, Yaya, Navas have stepped up their game whilst Silva is out, but if they dip in form, we'll be in trouble. The more quality you have out on the pitch the higher our chance of winning because it's unlikely that for 90 minutes all the top players will have a bad game.

I hope Jovetic gets a game, and I'm hoping that Dzeko and Kolarov are back and maybe Silva on the bench for 30 mins if required.

If we can win this game, then I think the title hunt will be well and truly on because we'll be coming back to full strength. And if we can win this season, doing back to back titles it will be our best success yet.

Was it Everton we played in a night match about 4 years when the temperature was about minus 7? Think we lost as well 1-2.

There is a solid feeling to the recent performances, confidence is back and expectations are higher and the nervousness has all but gone, their is great belief.

Psychologically teams will factor in that we are again at or approaching our best, which usually has a knock on effect of them lowering expectations and conceding us possession which in turn allows us to play the way we love to play.

I think 2-0 Aguero, lamps
