Slightly off topic but I was thinking if Europa league is a curse for clubs like Everton who have a decent starting eleven but not a great squad and once there in Europa league there overall season really takes toll,Newcastle finished 5 th in 11/12 and suffered badly for next couple of season and same is happening with Everton at the moment

Was it Everton we played in a night match about 4 years when the temperature was about minus 7? Think we lost as well 1-2.

We lost I think 0-1 to them when it was freezing a win would have put us top at the time.

I don't mind Everton as a club or a set of fans now Moyes has gone, I could not stand the guy, there was a comedy moment in the corresponding fixture last season when they scored and set off a load of dark blue smoke bombs Negredo scored a minuet letter, whilst the blue smoke still hung over them I think that was the game Kompany picked up last seasons calf injury

4 years ago, thought it was longer.
7 of the starters that day are still regulars, yet none of the bench. Shows we have been concentrating on improving the squad.

I reckon we might see the making of Mangala if he plays alongside Demichellis on Saturday. Just got a feeling this could be our Hull away moment from last season. It was after that game both MDM and Garcia turned into important players for us.

This is in no way a dig at Vinny who I think is the best CB in the world. But I often feel that he has little trust in his CB partners or he tries to hard to win everything. I feel that Demichellis is more reserved (no doubt due to his age) and trusts his partner to do his defensive role. The game against Hull last season was a masterclass in playing a high defensive line.

Hopefully Mangala relishes the responsibility and starts to become the defender that he is capable of being.

Must win.

Hart

Sagna
Demichelis
Mangala
Clichy

Yaya
Fernandinho

Nasri
Milner
Jovetic

Aguero

SUBS: Willy, Boyata, Zabba, Fernando, Lamps, Merlin, Pozo

I guessing you don't rate Navas? If there was ever an underrated player, it's jesus.
I do, but I also rate Nasri, Milner and Jovetic. And if Silva's fit enough, I feel we should try to give him some minutes before Roma.
He could easily be put on the bench ahead of Pozo or Lamps, but I feel a centre forward on the bench is necessary (hence Pozo), and I think Lampard offers a real goal threat.

Time for the curve ball. 22.40 Thursday 4/12 OS shows tickets available in 21 blocks, after the results of the last 4 games its a disgrace that its not yet a sell out. Mary Ds The Waldorf and loads more pubs will be full and standing of twats in City tops singing CTID plus necking £25 of drink.
For me its 500 miles plus round trip and a overnight stop in Macc, if we cannot sell out Neverton who are taking there full allocation for this game then I for one am this week "Disgusted Devon" .
